We went a little out of the way in west Laval to try @lepoutinebarlaval. It was difficult to chose which one we wanted to try out of the impressively long list of themed and creative poutines packed with a huge variety of ingredients. Classic poutine base, the right fries, a quintessential sauce and everything is built from there. As it should be.
Most of them were very interesting but we unfortunately couldn’t have more than two as we decided to also try their smash burger.
A smash burger in every sense – even the bread is flattened. Unexpectedly delicious, juicy and crispy patty topped with a familiar sauce and just the right size to compliment our giant poutine.

As we discovered, this restaurant is quite large and we would’ve have loved to access the bar area but, unfortunately, on karaoke night you’re only allowed there if you’re singing and no one wants to hear us sing 😅
We feel @lepoutinebarlaval is worthy of its name in both quality and quantity of the meal. It was worth the tiny road trip
