With such a beautiful setting, and wonderfully helpful and determined service it’s a shame and surprise to end up disappointed. To be honest, @restomeson did not impress us. Most of what we ordered was prepared poorly (burnt, soggy, tasted microwaved/premade) and for the price it is absolutely unacceptable. Likewise with the portions. The pictured single slice of burnt bread (and we don’t mean crispy, we mean the charred taste overpowered the actual toppings) with goat cheese and mushrooms is 18$. (which we actually paid for because we’re not hired or enticed to promote restaurants) The Croquettes tasted like we purchased them frozen at our local grocery store and they were 12$ for 4.
With the state of these small plates it is no surprise we weren’t keen on trying a main dish priced over 30$ each. We’re sure there are many justifications to this but it doesn’t help us feel anymore satisfied.
Maybe we ordered the wrong items? Maybe we should’ve gone with something else. But to that we present the following argument : If it’s the wrong order, why is it on the menu?
