Cantine Dukana

Cantine Dukana

Rating: 9 out of 10.

We stopped by @cantinedukana after a very specific, very insistent craving for a good sandwich—and it turned out to be exactly the right choice.

We went straight for the namesake “Le Dukana,” a confidently assembled mix of tender chicken, a smooth and genuinely delicious garlic sauce, bright marinated onions, and crisp pickles. Everything worked together without trying too hard.

On the side, we had the Harra Fries, spiced with just the right level of enthusiasm, and paired with a chutney dipping sauce that made it impossible to stop picking. We also tried the tomato and bean soup, which was hearty, simple in the best way, and exactly the comfort you want at this time of year.

The space itself has a charming, slightly vintage character—nothing forced or themed. A small CRT TV humming in the corner, old records, a repurposed standing ashtray now distributing candy, and retro light fixtures give the place a lived-in warmth that feels both intentional and effortless.

Beyond the food, @cantinedukana doubles as a compact neighborhood grocery, offering items like olive oil, olives, pickles, pesto, teas, an unexpectedly wide selection of drinks, including beer and wine, and more. It’s the kind of spot where you come in for a sandwich and leave with ingredients you didn’t know you needed.

All in all, a thoughtful little cantina with good food, a distinctive atmosphere, and a sense of place that makes it easy to want to return.
