We recently had the pleasure of a delightful lunch at @masaaki_izakaya, a new izakaya that opened last May.

To start, we were served tea, a lovely touch that made us feel welcome. We indulged in a little day drinking on a Monday, enjoying some sake and delicious themed cocktails.

We enjoyed satisfying appetizers, particularly the crispy tofu salad, which is not yet on the menu, followed by flambéed teriyaki salmon. But the highlight of our meal was the sukiyaki. The exceptional broth was rich and comforting, and the entire dish was just the right size for sharing.

Based on our  lunch experience, we suspect supper at @masaaki_izakaya would be just as great. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu! If you’re looking for a cozy spot to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine, this izakaya is definitely worth a visit.
