We passed by @49th_mtl for some coffee and @luckysdoughnuts donuts and quite frankly… Both were underwhelming.

The place was absolutely packed, and rolling. The line never got smaller the entire time we were there so we can only conclude that it is pretty popular. Honestly, we’re not sure why. The coffee is extremely acidic and bitter. Not at all the warm comfort you want on the type of cold windy day we were experiencing. As for the donuts, the level of freshness left a lot to be desired. There are many different flavours with various fillings and toppings but the overall quality does not really justify the price.
As previously stated ; there were a lot of people and we were still served fairly quickly, which is a positive. The ability of the staff to manage under pressure is important at a busy coffee shop but otherwise it was an overall dissapointing product all around. Will not return, would not recommend to anyone we like.
