We don’t use these expressions often but this weekend, we discovered an actual (and literal) hidden gem. Yes, we said it.
HIDDEN GEM
You cant blame us for being unaware of the subtle, understated @shokutsukimtl in its location under the shadow of the Turcot Interchange but we assure you its definitely worth questing.

As a foodie herself, talented and creative  chef (and baker) @sukiwiwi makes the type of food she would want to eat. A fusion of Asian and Quebec influenced cuisine with everything made in-house from scratch and absolutely packed with flavour.
We had the pleasure of having perfectly crispy, expertly seasoned chicken as both an appetizer and in the donburi, as well as a exquisitely cooked burger with a unique combination of toppings. For dessert, a delectable classic crème brûlée and the most chewey, delicious cranberry cookies really displayed our hosts instinctive baking skills.
Every dish we ordered wowed us with its distinctive mix of spices and attention to detail that can only be conceived by a culinary artist with love for their craft.

We also loved the subtleties in the decor showcasing the owner’s artistic personality with vinyl disc lighting, vintage cameras and magazines.
For the cinephiles, you may have spotted this location in the crime/thriller movie : “To Catch a Killer”

Sometimes you need to look closer and make an effort to find wonderful things as they are neither obvious nor boastful. We like those kind of places.

Oh, and there’s a parking lot! 😉
