Château Dufresne

Château Dufresne

Rating: 7 out of 10.

We took advantage of the free admission first Sunday of the month for Québec residents to visit Château Dufresne.

Built in the beaux-arts style and inspired by Le Petit Trianon in Versailles it housed the Dufresne family from 1920 to 1947. A picturesque, luxurious mansion that’s basically a Montreal version of what we would imagine Bruce Wayne’s house looks like. 🦇 (I kept looking for the entrance to the batcave)
While we enjoyed the historical background, the beautiful architecture, the religiously themed murals and ceiling paintings by Guido Nincheri and the fascinating furniture, we would suggest you wait until the next free admission first Sunday to visit …. as we learned more details from a Wikipedia search than was available there.
