I’ve lived in this city my entire life, and I’ve never visited the Montreal Biosphère—until now.
A beautiful and elaborate architectural achievement, the Biosphère was envisioned by Buckminster Fuller for one of the most successful world’s fairs of the 20th century. Its design inspired Spaceship Earth at EPCOT Center in Disney World. One of the most recognizable symbols of our city, the geodesic dome has been repurposed into an environmental museum and makes for a great educational family outing.
It is a great place for children and adults alike to learn about all levels of the environment.
