We had an experience that was both heartfelt and unforgettable when we visited @chefmak_mtl. Now in a beautiful, spacious new location in Sainte-Eustache, this Haitian gem is serving up vibrant cuisine that celebrates tradition while embracing creative flair.
You can feel the generosity in each plate — and not just in spirit. The portions are remarkably abundant, completely satisfying. Every dish we tried was exceptional, both classic Haitian staples and inspired new twists on beloved favorites.
While it was all incredible, the undeniable standout was the Chef Mak Special Chicken. Perfectly cooked and deeply flavorful, it was elevated by the unforgettable Chef Mak sauce — rich, bold, and utterly addictive.
Of course, no Haitian feast would be complete without the essentials: golden, perfectly fried plantains, tender and savory griot, comforting macaroni, and beautifully seasoned rice dishes that tied everything together. Each bite reflected care, authenticity, and pride.
You can taste the dedication and passion behind the food in every dish, and it makes the entire experience feel warm and personal. The trip to Sainte-Eustache was more than worth it.
